Late upload as I was awaiting permission to share 
Valentine's Day gift to my BFF who came to visit me in London just a week ago...we spent about 97.5% of the time that we've known each other half way across the world but I got to say we are so close in our hearts it is almost not humanly possible considering time and distance. This is my first Valentine's Day gift to her and I wanted it to be memorable.
I thank the power-that-be every time I think about how we were brought together six and a half years ago in a town neither of us came from; how we managed to stay in touch all this time with minimum contact even online; how despite all this and how we've both changed so much over the years yet deep, deep inside everything that I saw and love back then, is still there. There is still so much we do not know about one another (alot of things can happen in 6 and a half years, especially if that involved university life), but there is a level of understanding that is beyond the concept of 'knowing'. Like finding a kindred spirit.
It pains me to know that I am not, and never was, physically available to be a shoulder to cry on, or a pillar to lean on (to be sure, I'd be a really good one if I happen to be there...i'm the right height too)...But I do think of her almost on a daily basis.
Valentine's Day is about love, the kind that makes you feel warm and fuzzy inside, the kind that you treasure more than all other emotions, the one you're willing to risk it all for, and the kind you want to protect with everything you got. I love this friend very very much.
